Weighing applications in hot sites can be easily realized even at extreme temperatures of 150-200 °C with specially designed weighing equipment that is resistant to high temperature conditions. Special solutions are required for accurate measurement without loss of sensitivity in heat-exposed environments such as furnace exit, under rotary hearth, hot metal or chemical production processes.

Load cells used in such applications are equipped with high temperature resistant alloys and special thermal insulation elements. Wiring, mounting structure and electronic components are selected in accordance with the temperature in order to prevent heat-induced expansion, signal loss or deviations. Measurement reliability is thus maintained under all conditions.
