A high precision load cell/mounting accessory combination for large silo, tank, hopper or vessel weighing. It is the perfect solution for most high capacity applications such as harsh washdown environments or hazardous areas with risk of explosion. Its special certification allows use in ATEX dust zones 20, 21, 22 and gas zone 2 without the need for safety barriers, saving our customers a lot of money.
The double shear beam load cell is manufactured from high-strength 17-4PH stainless steel and is available in capacities from 2,000 kg (2 tons) to 200,000 kg (200 tons). Thanks to its fully welded and hermetically sealed design, IP68 and IP69K protection class as well as compliance with both ATEX and IECEx directives, it has been recognized worldwide for over 20 years as a leading load cell for high capacity weighing.

The high strength and robust alloy steel mounting accessory is available in zinc plated as standard, with a choice of galvanizing, special paint or stainless steel construction. Allows significant expansion/contraction of the tank without affecting load cell performance. Integrated fixing bolts simplify routine maintenance and allow easier installation for capacities up to 75 tons. This eliminates the need for expensive installation work, providing a highly cost-effective total solution.
The VC3500 was originally designed to provide high resistance to earthquakes and strong winds, so its robust design can withstand significant lateral, longitudinal, vertical and take-off forces. Additional stabilizer bars are therefore not required in most cases.
